Brian T. Theune
M.D., RPVI
Dr. Theune was born and raised in Wisconsin just outside of Milwaukee. He played varsity tennis in high school and enjoyed playing the trumpet in band and orchestra. He enlisted in the Army reserve during his senior year in high school and entered basic training the day following graduation. During his undergraduate education, he worked with his Army reserve unit as a medical lab technician, attaining the rank of SGT/E5. He then entered active-duty for medical school training and subsequent specialty training. After general surgery training, he spent 2 years as a general surgeon in Landstuhl, Germany. Following his vascular surgery training he was assigned first to El Paso, Texas then to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He completed his military career at Fort Bragg, achieving the rank of COL/06 with 27 years of service including 3 combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Theune enjoys fishing, hunting and singing tenor in the local community choir. Dr. Theune is married with 3 adult sons.
